Museums Sheffield, the troubled collective which runs Sheffield's museums is to receive £1.2m in funding from Arts Council England.
In February, group were forced to shed 45 staff, the indignity of which was swiftly followed by the resignation of Chief Exec Nick Dodd. In 2011, a series of tense negotiations resulted in the council stepping in and writing off £1.7 in loans to the trust.
“We’re very pleased that Arts Council England is investing in Sheffield and South Yorkshire through this fund.
